    Product Visibility

Once your products are successfully published for sale on Zazzle, they can fall under one or more of these six filters.

    1. All: This is a non-specific filter to show you every design in your chosen store with any of the below visibility filters.
    2. Public (set by you- everyone can see it): Your product will be visible to anyone on Zazzle (subject to content ratings) and will appear in search results and in your Store. This option provides maximum exposure and is the best setting for products you want to sell.
    3. Hidden (set by you- only you can see it): This is a list of products hidden by you (not Zazzle) from the Zazzle Marketplace. It is only visible to you and only when you are logged in to the Store containing the product. This is useful in many instances, such as for seasonal products or building out an entire product line of products then launching them all together at once.
    4. Direct-only (set by you- only someone with your Product link can see it): Your product is not visible in the Zazzle Marketplace and does not appear in any Store or within any RSS feed. It is only visible through external links or API integrations. This option is typically used by more advanced users who prefer to have a store on their own domain or can also be used to create a custom design for a Customer.
    5. Discontinued (set by Z- no longer available for sale): Shows you products we have discontinued for sale on the marketplace and will no longer show publicly.
    6. Optimization Needed (set by Z- no longer available for sale): These products have been set to 'Hidden from the Marketplace' because they no longer meet the requirements for a successful public product, as defined by the Marketplace Optimization standards. We encourage you to make any necessary optimizations, after which you will be able to set them back to public visibility.

Why can’t I see my products in the Marketplace?

There are various factors that may affect your products' public visibility within the marketplace.

    • Visibility settings: In order for your product to be visible in the Marketplace, it needs to be (a) posted for sale and (b) set to “public”. You can review this by selecting the “Public” filter on your “.../products” page or by navigating to “Edit Details” > "Additional Information” on each product.
    • Threshold Reached or exceeded: You have reached the threshold of 100K public products in the Marketplace. More details can be found here
    • Optimization Needed: Your product no longer meets the criteria set out for a successful, public product in line with the Marketplace Optimization limits. These include:
      • Has been sold at least once
      • Has been published, edited or viewed (by a customer) within the last 15 months
      • Is a product type which was added to the Zazzle site within the past 2 years
    • If your product was published using the retired “Quick Product Create” (QPC) feature and has not been sold within the last 15 months, it may have reduced visibility. (Note: This option is not available/ a possible cause to sellers who joined after the feature was retired.)To identify these products, use the “Quick Product Create” filter under “Publish Method” in your Product Management pages. You can restore the visibility of these products by republishing them individually through the standard post-for-sale flow.

    Domain Declaration and Marketplace Visibility

If you list a website or domain where you direct traffic from on the Ambassador Domain Declaration page (https://www.zazzle.com/my/ambassador/domains), any products associated with an API feed originating from that domain will be excluded from the Zazzle Marketplace.

This measure is in place to preserve the quality and relevance of the Marketplace by preventing the visibility of potentially unsuitable products. For example, a product that is perfectly suited for your external store's needs (such as an API-directed link to a blank poster) might be deemed irrelevant for general Marketplace browsing, and will therefore only be available via referral traffic from your declared domain.
