Because of the nature of customizable Zippo Pocket Lighters and its association with our brand, we have determined that certain categories of images are not appropriate for printing on Zippo Pocket Lighters. The following terms form part of Zazzle’s User Agreement. You must agree to follow them in order to purchase Zippo pocket lighters from Zazzle or to create any public Zippo Pocket Lighter for sale in the Zazzle marketplace.
You will not assert or suggest in any way that any Zippo Pocket Lighters on Zazzle, created by you or any other user, has been approved by us or by any other person or entity.
In designing or creating any Zippo Pocket Lighter on Zazzle, you will not use any content or design element that in our sole judgment and discretion we believe would be controversial or offensive, would subject us to legal liability, or would cause damage to Zazzle's public reputation or our business.
- One may not use images, artwork, or words that belong to someone else.
- Image may infringe on the copyright, trademark, or right of publicity of a third party
- No names, logos, symbols, pictures, or other intellectual properties of the following should be accepted

- Automobile brands (i.e. BMW, Ford)
- Television or movie characters
- Celebrities
- Companies of any kind
- Famous destinations (i.e. Route 66)
- Pieces of artwork (i.e. Van Gogh)
- Video games
- Flags
- No country flags (except the American flag) or the confederate flag
- The American flag can be accepted
- Comic book characters or logos
- Anime
- No names, logos, symbols, or pictures that could appeal towards children
- Disney characters, My Little Pony, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Pokémon, etc.
- Cartoons
- Comic book characters
- Anime
- Santa Claus
- Cartoon-like characters
- Photos, logos, caricatures, or other artwork depicting celebrities or other third parties. Even though you may have taken the photograph, it doesn’t mean you have the right to use that image on merchandise, even if you digitally manipulate the photograph.
- Copying of an existing piece of artwork, cartoon, photograph, or screenshot. Changing a piece of art by rearranging the elements of the artwork is not acceptable (like Photoshop).
- Trademarks, names, or logos of companies. For example, you cannot use the name of a company such as Zippo (or the Zippo logo)
- Zippo, Nike, Under Armour, etc.
- Sports team names, logos, or other intellectual property of colleges/universities, clubs, fraternities, or organizations
- NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, MLB, Real Madrid, New York Yankees, etc.
- Colleges/Universities
- Notre Dame, Harvard, Yale, etc.
- Fraternities/Sororities
- Non-profit organizations
- YMCA, Red-Cross, SPCA, etc.
- Government agencies, foreign and domestic, including FBI, CIA, NATO, ISAF, U.S. Embassies, United Nations, International Police Association, New York Transit Authority, NASA (and STS/NASA), Space Shuttle, Apollo, Moon Landing, International Space Station, Hubble Telescope, Kennedy Space Center.
- S. government identity and graphics (i.e. Presidential Seal, U.S. Medallion, currency), U.S. and foreign city and state or country flags, seals, emblems, slogans.
- S. Military Branches, including U.S. Army, Navy (USN), Air Force (USAF) including the Air Force T-Birds (Thunderbirds), Marines (USMC), U.S. Coast Guard (USCG)
- Artwork based on the art of a third party

- One may not use images, artwork, or words that are inappropriate or offensive.
- Inappropriate content, nudity, near nudity, sexually suggestive content (e.g. exposed nipples, genitals, sex toys, bondage)
- Obscene or vulgar, contains offensive remarks or harasses, threatens, defames, or abuses others, is racist, sexist, or is a symbol of hate (e.g. Nazi, gang signs)
- Violence, obscenity, abusive, fraudulent, or threatening
- Exploits minors or Promotes or depicts violence or abuse to animals
- Glamorizes drug use or alcohol abuse
- Marijuana leaves
- Generally offensive or in bad taste, as determined by Zazzle
- One may not use images or artwork depicting smoking or tobacco products in mouth.
- One may not use images or artwork specific to HI (Hawaiian) Scrimshaw Designs.
In addition to Zazzle’s Content Guidelines, we ask that you please abide by these additional guidelines when designing your 3M Post-It® Notes:
- No nudity or pornography of any kind.
- No tobacco products, names, or endorsements on branded promotional products
- No references to illegal drugs, including marijuana
- No swear words and/or inappropriate language
- No disparaging comments against any person(s), organization, company, or ethnic group.
