Tax Forms for United States Citizens (Form 1099) >>

Why do I get a Form 1099 from Zazzle?

Zazzle is required to report your annual Earnings to the IRS once you hit a certain threshold of paid Earnings.

    What is the threshold?

Please review the specified threshold limits outlined by the US IRS:

    1. 1099-MISC
    2. 1099-NEC

When will I receive my Form 1099?

Form 1099s will be mailed:  (i) to recipients at the end of January of each year and (ii) to the address listed in the payment settings section within your Zazzle account.

If I haven’t received my Form 1099, what do I do?

Please double check the following information:

    1. If the total amount of any Earned and Payable Earnings Payments you received from Zazzle during the previous calendar year does not meet either of the above-referenced thresholds, a Form 1099 will not be sent to you, as we are not required to report this to the IRS. (Not receiving payment? Confirm you have followed these instructions correctly.)
    2. We mail your Form 1099 to the address specified in your Zazzle payment settings. If this was incorrect at the start of January, then it’s possible it went to your old address. Please correct your address in your Zazzle payment settings, and contact us to have a Form 1099 sent to your current address.

Tax Forms for International Creators and Ambassadors (Form 1042) >>

Why do I get a Form 1042 from Zazzle?

Zazzle is required to issue a Form 1042-S to international Creators and Ambassadors. The Form 1042-S is an informational form detailing any monetary amounts given to a person who does not have a U.S. Social Security number or Employer Identification Number.

Is there a threshold to receive a Form 1042?

No. Any Earned and Payable Earnings payments received from Zazzle will qualify you to receive a Form 1042.

When will I receive my Form 1042?

We mail out your Form 1042 in early March, to the address listed in the payment settings section within your Zazzle account.

I haven’t received my Form 1042, what do I do?

Please double check the following information:

    1. If you have not successfully received any Earned and Payable Earnings, you will not receive a Form 1042. (Having trouble getting paid? Have you submitted your W8 form? More details here.)
    2. We mail your Form 1042 to the address specified in your Zazzle payment settings. If this was incorrect at the start of January, then it’s possible it went to your old address. Please correct your address in your Zazzle payment settings, and contact us to have a Form 1042 sent to your current address.
